Job Summary:
The Chief Revenue Officer will work to strengthen ACG’s ability to focus on customer needs while enhancing revenue opportunities. Define and implement the revenue strategy for the company. Set the revenue budgets and strategy, considering the optimal revenue mix, continued growth in core lease revenue, selecting the right deal type and mix, asset type, while maintaining average remaining lease term and portfolio credit rating. Increase ACG’s focus on serving its customers and developing new growth opportunities for the business by driving closer alignment among the Sales/Marketing, Trading, Financing and Technical teams. Promote, support and enforce collaboration and seamless connectivity between ACG’s business groups. Develop and implement innovative business initiatives that expand the growth and profitability profile of the business. This position will also serve on ACG’s Senior Leadership Team (the management governing body responsible for guiding the business) to provide a commercial perspective and market judgements to key business decisions. Lead, coach, motivate and manage regional marketing representatives to ensure that annual revenue targets are exceeded, and cost budgets are met as well as ensure the right resources are in place to support the achievement of those targets. Develop and maintain relationships with senior leaders at airline and OEM contacts. Develop team talent and conduct periodic check-ins with direct reports. Lead by example and promote the company’s core values.
Essential Job Functions / Duties:
- Formulate appropriate revenue strategy for the company that is aligned to shareholder objectives
- Lead key commercial business functions (Marketing and Trading) with strategic agility, proactive in taking an early view of future directions of markets and regions
- Advise teams in undertaking Marketing and Financing campaigns and finding the optimal structure for deals to meet required deal parameters (growth, diversification, profitability, asset returns, etc)
- Set clear strategic direction, purpose and priorities, for the Marketing and Trading teams… ensuring effective communication and alignment throughout the organization
- Seamlessly coordinate customer coverage initiatives and aircraft asset management activities with Technical team
- Develop collaborative commercial initiatives with ACG’s AFS financing business to offer a broader set of transaction per relationship
- Develop close working relationship with ACG’s OEM Relationships and Market Development group
- Manage revenue teams within region to ensure annual revenue targets for aircraft placement, SLB, portfolio trades and other aircraft portfolio investments are achieved in line with approved budget and corporate scorecard … and hold team members accountable
- Handles other projects/tasks as needed
Key Dimensions:
- Significant experience and a proven track record of success as a senior commercial / marketing officer for a global aircraft leasing platform
- Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth
- Extensive connectivity within the global aviation industry
- Commercially and strategically oriented; able to engage in challenging yet productive strategic debates … externally with customers and internally with the board and top leadership team and to set a clear strategy for his/her enterprise
- Demonstrated ability and track record of thinking strategically and executing on agreed strategy
- A proven record of innovation and creativity to conceive and deliver value-added and customer-focused processes and solutions
- Capable of securing alignment among his or her team members and across an organization’s functional lines
- International experience and orientation, given the global nature of ACG’s business and the geographic breadth of this role. Has proven himself/herself to be culturally sensitive and adept
- Hands on and a positive, can-do attitude that is infectious throughout the enterprise
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
- Strong analytical, organizational and process skills with good vertical range, from the strategic to the technical
- Extensive aviation industry experience preferred
- Proven financial acumen: ability to understand how to price risk, know the trade-offs of risk, return and the time value of money
- Very strong and well-developed people leadership and people development skills, with an ability to inspire, motivate, and lead teams while also holding them accountable for results
- Proven and proficient presentation skills necessary to effectively communicate, update, persuade and/or facilitate discussions among others
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly and extensively
